Hello and welcome to our Master Bathroom. Come take a look around.
January 4, 2014-
Our master bathroom renovation was not one we chose to do it chose it for us. I know that probably doesn’t make sense so let me explain. The previous owners did not set the toilets correctly so we had a huge leaking problem that had to be solved immediately.
Before Photo: ( I got rid of the gold doors the first week we lived here… The doors really seemed to close off the room.)
After removing the toilet we found that the previous owner installed particle board as the type of subfloor. The water damage reduced the subfloor to mush. What a mess. If you look closely you can see how the toilet made indents into the linoleum.
Once finding this disaster we had to remove the linoleum to get the subfloor repaired.
After we replaced the subfloor I found this to be the perfect time to remove the old wall-paper border and paint. So I painted the room Tuscan Beige by Behr. It really gave the room a clean fresh look.
Once painted we put the Allure flooring down and reset the toilet to create the proper seal.

Our next project in this room is to replace all the kick board with 1×6 pine boards and replace all the window trim. I also plan to repaint the vanity to again get rid of the dark colored wood. Photos coming soon.
